I'll be hauling my lvl 11 necro there just to grab some skills and a few more heroes. Then I'll be heading back to Proph to continue that game.

I'm guessing it's a temporary system for the upcoming weekend and will go away afterwards. Assuming this is the case, I figure it's not really worth thinking about whether I like it or not.

I don't care. Anyone under level 20 will still be rejected by most serious pugs. So GW:EN is likely to remain much as it was.

They do this, and yet they still restrict acess to the BMP to those who coughed up £17.99 on the online store! I realise Anet has this idea about making everything easily accesssed and keeping everyone happy... but they need to draw a line somewhere.

I sometimes wonder about the logic behind some of their ideas!
So, your argument is that people who pay $50 for GWEN don't deserve to explore it, but people who spend $30 for the BMP don't either?

Or, what is your argument?

Once again, your hatred of people playing the game differently than you (gods forgive!) blinds your logic.

YOU don't want to join level 10s, you don't have to.

It's all about choice, and the more choices Anet offers, the better.

Happy for them.

Enhanced access to skills, heroes, consumables etc. With the <20 buff it should make their time there enjoyable and considering the xp gains in EotN they won't be under level 20 for very long.

Enjoy!

i find this total crap, if it stays forever so now like this ...

GW was thought and concepted as high end area, not for lvl 10 noobs, which get unfair buffed....

12/9/9/9 >.> = 241 AP buff

this shit shows us only, that anet begins even not to care about their own concepts and that they start to ignore themself and thigns they've said ....

not to mention, that it will make the Survivor title a joke, if this stays so now permanent ... if this stays so permanent, that i personally AWAIT then now from Anet, that they also change something permanently on the LDoA title...so that also non presearing characters can receive it by doing a sum of some hard elite quests or so, which require together a simlar amount of effort, as death leveling in pre ...but then has the player at least the choice, if he prefers death leveling in pre as perma pre chara, or if you want to try it out of pre by normal playing and making anything elite for the title ....that has to do with defending Ascalon ... what death leveling imo absolutely hasn't ...

I really hope, this crap part of the update is only temporarely for this weekend, otherwise it will row up to the list of the absolute dumbest, small mindedst things, ANet has ever done to GW imo

Meh. If I had just spent days getting my first character to level 20 the hard way (i. e. Prophecies) I might be a little annoyed.

But by now, the part before level 20 is such a tiny part of my characters' lives, and such a distant memory, that I find it hard to really care.

Good idea that didn't get thought all the way. Makes Survivor much easier to max. Remember what the first thing in gwen, the worms. So character lvl to lvl 10, go to gw:en, start farming worms solo until lvl 20, then farm them in HM. Survivor is not what it used to be.

This is pissing off exactly the kind of people I tend to think deserve a miserable life - those who have far too much concern for what other players are doing & what they have access to.

I expect to like this. I've played every class at level 20, at some point - I'm not an inexperienced "noob", just because I start a new toon. Max armour and access to the latest content at level 10? Great stuff!

Hope it's not temporary.

Oh, and regarding survivor - getting lvl 20 in Factions or Nightfall is one of the easiest things you can do. Survivor 1 is a sleepwalker's title. I expect more players will come unstuck by rushing to GW:EN, so stop being idiots. Your titles don't mean crap anyway.

Lmao. sweet weekend. but the info is already out about what the majority thought about Gwen & it's suckness. I doubt this will boost sales. I must add..nice try...but in the end, I think it will drop sales, not rekindle them.

-you have best wishes (to whom it may concern)

Forget the worms, get to boxing.

I really don't understand why this is a "bad" thing...

The difference is a few hours if you're a Faction character. It doesn't take long to get to level 20, but why force people to "grind" when they can get to level 20 in GWEN?

They paid for the product, they should be able to experience it ASAP.

This is a sign of good things coming from Anet. I've been worried that GW2 will be nothign but Grind, but ideas like this make me realize I have little to fear.

Guild Wars = Casual player MMORPG FTW!

QFT. I have several characters stuck in Nightfall at level 10. (for some reason, I get bored in Nightfall unlike any other Chapter). Can't wait to finally have a level 20 Dervish and Paragon!

My view is, who the Hell cares. It's not like I'll ever party with them anyhow. I already almost never PUG because even level 20 PUG players are almost universally horrendous players. Makes no difference to me if a few more horrendous players are given access to GWEN. They can play with each other all they like, doesn't affect my GW experience whatsoever.

Same here. I kinda like having new players in the game. either way, doesn't make a big diff to me...

Keep in mind, most of these "new" players are actually experienced players who want to level up an alt.

And they're buffed anyway. It doesn't "hurt" anyone.

If you are offended and do not like the fact that low levels can enter the area, do not accept them into your party and carry on. It really should not matter much.

People may want ran... do run them if you feel like it or don't. Is it that detremental to the game to rob your enjoyment?

Quite.

My lvl 13 ele has been using Searing Flames from lvl 2 thanks to my small stack of elite tomes. And I've been playing an ele for nearly two years. Low lvl does not equal useless noob. There's plenty of other ways people can be useless without their level being the indicator.

Complaints about survivor? Seriously? It's Survivor. That's not exactly an exclusive club. It's not "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals".

I don't understand this mentality at all. Open to everyone? Oh the humanity of it all. Is nothing sacred anymore?

Unfairly buffed? How so? If a lvl 12 is running on a 12-9-9-9 that puts them on the same lvl as me. I don't see this as being unfair.

Guild Wars, for the time period these players are in this area, are dropping the time consumption lvl'ing in one game area to require the players skill to determine how successful they are in this "high end content". If they're good players, you'll succeed. If they're bad players, you'll fail. Sort of goes with the mantra of Skill>Time.

I saw complaints of people asking to be run through dungeons and missions. Like that doesn't happen already? I can't even sit in the Marketplace for 10 minutes without people begging for runs to Kaineng Center, which a lvl 1 could do with 7 flagged henchies. Drok's and endless powerlevelling. Ascalon with LA runs. Kamadan and Ferrying. SS Sanctuary and Avatar Capping. Gate of Pain masters. Runs would stop if people would stop being lazy, but that won't happen and it's certainly not just the lvl's 1-19 asking for runs through this game.

Some are behaving as though EoTN is this special, members-only, exclusive club house. It's not. Stop acting as though it's your personal territory, like your bedroom with the yellow "KEEP OUT" sign on the door. If it comes down to it I would rather PUG with those lvl 10-19's if they can get the job done, instead of the lvl20 "....everyone else is just a noob...." attitude. It's no wonder people will be using H/H far more than PUG's.

I'm not sure, I hope it's permanent.

Isn't this an update, and not the special weekend event (I assume it's more than just letting level 10s enter?)
